Recruiting Coordinator

  • Austin, United States

Recruiting Coordinator

Job description

Sunroom is a venture-backed tech startup, headquartered in downtown Austin, that wants to dramatically improve the home and apartment search process. We believe that the existing tools renters use, like Zillow, are just scratching the surface. We've created a platform that enables renters to schedule showings on the fly and apply to properties inside our app. Renting a home should be as easy as booking a hotel.

Sunroom was started by the Favor founders Ben & Zac.

We are seeking an exceptionally bright, flexible, poised and self-motivated individual to provide Recruiting and general People Operations assistance. The individual in this role will be the first dedicated team member on our Recruiting team. You will be partnering with the leadership team to scale our recruiting and on-boarding efforts during our current phase of hyper-growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Sourcing new candidates, for multiple roles. This position will mostly focus on our real estate agent positions. Visit the careers page for more details.
  • Testing and iterating on scalable recruiting techniques.
  • Conducting screening calls.
  • Updating records in our applicant processing system. Organizing in-person meetings and managing calendars to ensure smooth interviews.
  • Creating and extending offer letters.
  • On-boarding new employees/contractors to our tools.

Skills we're looking for:

  • You are exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
  • You are outgoing and understand people. You enjoy asking deep probing questions, to learn about candidates and find the best talent.
  • You love working with people. You are collaborative, upbeat, and optimistic.
  • You are a quick learner who is proficient with online tools and operations.

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • You are a proactive and clear communicator.

Compensation & Hours

  • This is a full-time role that pays $40,000 to $55,000 depending on level of experience.

  • 1 to 3 years of prior recruiting or HR experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness.
  • You are eager to learn and grow your career. You're punching up and you are excited about Sunroom's mission to help renters!
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate autonomously and with discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills balanced with the flexibility to meet the demands of a startup environment.

If you got to this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job description you just read. Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We're eager to meet people that believe in Sunroom's mission and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways – not just candidates who "check all the boxes".
