Sunroom is a venture-backed tech startup, headquartered in downtown Austin, that wants to dramatically improve the home and apartment search process. We believe that the existing tools renters use, like Zillow, are just scratching the surface. We've created a platform that enables renters to schedule showings on the fly and apply to properties inside our app. Renting a home should be as easy as booking a hotel.

This role is perfect for the office administrative generalist. This position is central to smoothly running our office and is a great fit for a person who is detail oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks, and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment. We are seeking an exceptionally bright, flexible, poised and self-motivated individual to provide administrative assistance to our leadership team. One of the most important roles for this position is the ongoing book-keeping and invoicing. 

 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Submitting new vendor registrations and invoicing vendors through Quickbooks. This includes doing collections on outstanding invoices and communicating the status of payments to our real estate agents. You'll also be running payroll for our our contractors and employees. 
  • Manage the office ambience, cleanliness, and order snacks. The key is foster a positive office environment where people feel comfortable and happy. 
  • Support the exec team on ad hoc special projects, data-entry and research. You'll also be assisting with scheduling various recruiting and business meetings for the co-founders. You'll be the point person over email and for walk in's. 
  • Occasionally you'll be working with the City Manager to plan and execute company events from start to finish, including scheduling, catering, supplies, activities, and other preparation needs.

Compensation & Hours

  • This is a full-time role that pays $40,000 to $60,000 depending on level of experience.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience with both bookkeeping and various administrative functions
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, and Excel or Google spreadsheets.

  • A no ego, "can-do" attitude with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations; proactively anticipates needs before they arise.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate autonomously and with discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
